Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to send a quick e-mail to give a
heads up on this years symposium. I have
been getting some emails from people
inquiring about dates, hotel and where to fly
into. The symposium will be the weekend of
October 10th and 11th. You should fly into
Phoenix, AZ and the airport is only 20min
from the hotel (which is San Marcos)
Chandler, AZ. The symposium and the
banquet will be at the hotel so I don't really
know if you will need to rent a car. The hotel is
within walking distance to many restaurants,
bars, and grocery stores. There are rooms
reserved at a discounted price. I will send
phone numbers and contact info about the
hotel early next week.
As a side note, I just have birth to our son on
My 11th. He was 9lbs and 1oz. He very hearth
and as cute as can be!

Hello, I'll make this short because I don't have
much time. The flight from Honolulu was long
but fine and we finally landed in Kuwait
yesterday evening. It is nice here but you always
have the feeling that someone wants to kill you,
LOL! No really! We are in the FOB (forward
operating base) Ali AlSalem waiting to deploy
to Iraq. The airline lost much of our luggage so
we need to wait for it before we can move so I'm
not sure how long I'll be here but it is kind of OK
so I'm not in a hurry. The have Mcdonalds,
Subway, etc here so life is kind of normal here. I
had coffee with some officers from Japan last
night and I'm meeting them tonight for a
Japanese language class they are giving the
Air Force. Should be fun. Well I have to run. I'll
write more when I get a chance.
